    Default Home directory name 10.5

Hi all just wondering if anyone can help me with a problem i have got. I have recently just bought a new macbook and am now wanting to pass the old one onto my family members, but the main home directory is still in my name. I have tried following this tutorial from apple:

Mac OS X: How to change user short name or home directory name

but i just can't seem to rap my head around it, basically what i would like to do is change the home directory(the main home folder) from eg. joeblogs to jamesblogs, but i cant understand how to do so. I have read up quite a lot of information on the internet but there isn't really any clear answers.

could someone point me in the right direction as i don't want to install OS X all over again. (any videos hovering around which might help?)

    thanks

Utilities -> Directory Utility -> Unlock -> enter password ->Edit -> Enable Root User -> enter password for root user

    Quit Directory Utility

log out of your account. Log in as root.

browse to /Users and change the name of the folder for your account

    done
