wait i thought you JUST bought a mac.... it took me a couple months to decide between the right .torrent downloader for me and ive been using macs since ...... since..... a good 10 years ago.. now dont get me wrong there are tons of people on here who have a LOT LOT more time on macs than i do but it takes time to weed through/find programs that suite your style of need/want/UI and so forth....
also to get back on subject check out a widget called iStatPro very nice it shows battery health cpu temp, heatsink temp and so forth also shows ram usage, cpu usage, ip address, how fast you internet connection (up/down) is total hard disk space and its free VERY NICE WIDGET
.torrent (file type) above is my reference to BitTorrent downloaders.. i may have just made that more confusing
