iPhone 4s 6.1 downgrade
Can I downgrade an iPhone 4s(Sprint and verizon) 6.1 to 5.1.1 to be able to jailbreak it?
Buying a phone from ebay or amazon sometimes you get a bad esn unit, will the jailbreak fix it?

What model of iPhone where downgrading from version 6 can be applied? iPhone 5, 4, or 3gs?

Iphone 4 and lower if they have the shsh blobs for that firmware.

Jailbreaking will not fix the bad esn issue. There is a jailbreak out for ios 6.1

Yes, only original carrier can remove a bad esn from the blacklist.
MyLocation App update for 5.1.1 - 6.1.2 from bushe! Incase you are having problems, this app is working fine. You may need an updated location.js file. If it has been updated, and still not updating go to settings/general/reset and reset all settings, this will not affect your JB!

If you have the 5.1.1 blobs saved, you can patch an iOS 5.1.1 package through iFaith, then you should be able to restore manually to that patched 5.1.1 package. I don't know if this is still viable. I don't think you can get the blobs via Cydia any longer.

You sure can do it! I just downgraded my Verizon iPhone4 from iOS 6.1.2 to 5.1.1 and am happy again!

It isn't for the timid, but it is doable if you follow instructions. iOS 6 is just terrible on iPhone 4 devices.

iPhone 4 yes can do it with the shsh blobs. iPhone 4S and higher cannot downgrade once it goes to 6.0
