IPhone 4S SHSH Question

my friend has an iphone 4s from sprint on 6.0.1,and while i understand that the signing window is closed,is there any tool available that can backup the blobs?theoretically he SHOULD be able to because hes STILL on that firmware,when i ran tinyumbrella it only had shown 6.1 SHSH blobs,but he hasnt upgraded yet...
is the version of TU im using outdated?
or is it just no longer possible?
becuase i have a 4S on AT&T and i backed them up fine,but the signing window was still open and 6.1 had yet to be released.
while i know there may be no current purpose to back them up,i want him to have the option in case it becomes one in the future.

There is no way to save them anymore because Apple stopped signing 6.0.1. And you can't extract them from the device because a bootrom exploit is needed to do so, which a 4S doesn't have.

i have the 6.0.1 SHSH for my 4S.is there currently anyway to downgrade back to 6.0.1 even if i have them saved?

Right now, no. I don't think it is possible. You don't really need to do.
