Downgrade iOS6 to iOS5
I'm just wondering if this is a possibility? I want to upgrade to the developer BETA, but want to ensure that I'll be able to downgrade back down to iOS5.1.1 if I run into any issues, and regain my jailbreak. Thanks!

I just want to confirm, can you downgrade the 4S from iOS 6 beta to 5.1.1? Is it just through iTunes restore or do you have to use redsn0w?

Perhaps my memory is failing,
but I seem to recall an issue with downgrading from iOS5 betas for some users on some devices.
Was it because the "current" release of iOS4 for their device wasn't fully JB?
(or was the wrong kind of exploit?)
Always wise to watch out for Basebands in any event
and I'd personally wait until hearing from DevTeam that "yeah, it's safe".

You can downgrade with a stock 5.1.1 ipsw no exploit or jailbreak needed. Apple is still signing 5.1.1 to the public.

On the A4 devices baseband isnt an issue because they can be downgraded as long as Apple is still signing the firmware you are restoring to. For a 3Gs however it would be a bit more complicated as someone on iOS6 would have to use a custom 5.1.1 to downgrade to or they would get an error during the restore.

MN isn't directly confirming that, but he's apparently upgraded and downgraded with no reported issues yet.
I recall there had been an issue during the middle of the iOS5 betas, and wasn't sure whether it would show up again here. Since I can't remember, should probably just forget :/

Was he the one that was crying about piracy or was that a developer?
