So awhile ago I had to upgrade my iPhone 4 to 5.1.1 and the JB is suppose to be released here soon
I was wondering what are the steps I should do before I JB my phone
I see a lot of people save blobs or shsh should I do that
Can someone give me a step by step process any info would be much appreciated

I can't seem to get the blobs for 3GS on 5.1.1, I got 5.0 and 5.0.1 but it seems that the 5.1.1 blob for 3GS isn't being signed anymore? Or have I got it wrong? Because it clearly says I can't get it anymore :/
EDIT: Just tried getting blobs for 5.1.1 on my iPad 3, but without success as well. Seems like apple has stopped signing I suppose
EDIT: In the advanced column of tiny umbrella, I unchecked the option to "request SHSH from cydia" and was then able to save my SHSH blobs

Yeah, I have but I can't figure out how to upload the 5.1.1 blob to Cydia, I believe I've done it before but I can't remember how to do it
Do you know how I could send my SHSH to the server rather than keep it local?

No it doesn't seem to do either for me.
My Cydia store's latest blob saved is 5.0.1 and I did originally set my blobs to be saved, never used cydia on iPad 3 because obviously no jailbreaks yet
Tiny umbrella doesn't seem to upload the blobs either :/

I always save SHSH but I was just telling him it wasn't exactly needed in his case since he was already at 5.1.1 and seems aware a jailbreak will be released (I think I didn't edit it in time, but I fixed that error I put the wrong date lol) so anyways, Pod2G already said it was going to be released tommorow if anything.

I would say it is needed in his case. He says he is on 5.1.1 and asked what to do. 2K1 told him to save his 5.1.1 SHSH and wait for the jailbreak to be released. Pretty simple but totally spot on advice.

Meh I guess it's opinion. I don't save SHSH much but maybe it's because I never need to restore lol. I know Apple will take awhile to patch those exploits though
