EDIT: Wrong person. Mods should close this so it can just be reference material.

So how do you do it? I don't see a true solution for how to change the facebook notification tone

Will this work on iPhone 4s iOS 5.1.1 without any problems? Has it been tested? I too want to change the Facebook notification to a personalized tone or an existing tone.

As long as you have iFile, yes. But @smeltn found a tweak on Cydia that can also do it, it's called PushTone.

I am a newbie and my phone is new. I don't have any of those apps you mentioned. Will I be able to increase the volume of the Facebook notification? Ever since I bought the life proof cover, the notifications are barely audible. I want to change the type of notification and increase the volume without damaging the phone or incurring errors.

Can't make the volume any louder than there is. They use to have a tweak back is 4.0 but they never made anything different. I also have the lifeproof case. I didnt notice that big of an noise difference.

There is a tweak called Volume Booster 5.0 or something like that, it was a bit of a change, but not that much. I hear that those kind of tweaks do a really good job when it comes to boosting the sound of your headphones.

What you can actually do to increase the sound is download a audio editor program like wavepad on your computer then drag and drop the sound you wanna use and increase its volume by double or triple! You just have to be careful not to over do it coz it will sound garbled if increased too much!

You can use PushTone to change the notification sound when your device receives a push notification...
