Well if you have 4.2.8 SHSH then you should be ok. Personally if I was having issues I would just restore to another custom 4.2.8 firmware since that is untethered and will definitely have less issues than jailbreaking tethered on 4.2.10.

+1 4.2.8 is a stable release. 4.2.10 adds nothing except anti-jailbreaking code. There's no benefit to updating.

I will just stay on 4.2.8. I wanted to use Jailbreakme on 4.2.8.

Did anybody try that latest redsn0w beta for jailbreaking 4.2.10? Did it work for you (even after installing stuff)?

Currently Checking to see if it will work and not crash this time. will update shortly
still sticks on pineapple logo during a reboot. only difference i noticed was redsn0w actually recognizes the 4.2.10 ipsw file this time and i dont need to point it at the 4.2.8 file.
