Jail Break on 4.2.10 then downgrade?

Hey I just got my iPhone and upgraded stupidly without reading that 4.2.10 is tethered only.

So is it possible to jailbreak on 4.2.10 save the shsh blobs then downgrade to 4.2.8 to get rid of the need for a tether? I am guessing no but I may be wrong.

The only way to downgrade is if u have the 4.2.8 shsh blobs saved, if u dont then you're out of luck.

Yeah,if you didn't save your blobs prior to updating,then you're gonna most likely be waiting for the official release of 5.0

When I open TinyUmbrella I have a saved SHSHs & it says iPhone4 4.2.1(8c148)

Could I manage off this one and then upgrade to 4.2.8? I have a Verizon iPhone4
