    Is ii necessary to have an Internet connection when using iTunes to restore from a backup I made just last week, before I jailbroke the Verizon phone? My backup was made with FW 4.2.6 installed. Don't have Internet at the moment at home.

    Hmm. iTunes uses the internet for almost everything. Very likely it's need to restore from a backup.
    If the phone is working now I would wait. If it's unusable without the backup, you've got nothing to loose.
