Jailbreak iOS 4.2.7 (Verizon iPhone) Untethered!

Download/Save the 4.2.6 firmware from here:
http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/04...0_Restore.ipsw

Get redsn0w rc14 from here:
http://www.justmobilephone.com/download-redsnow/

Open iTunes and update to 4.2.7 if it still lets you!!! 4.2.8 was released a few hours ago so you might be too late!

After the update:

-Open redsn0w rc14

-At the bottom left, Browse for the 4.2.6 Firmware you just downloaded

-After it accepts it, follow the rest of the redsn0w instructions

***Checkmark the: 'Cydia & Animated Bootlogos' Boxes***

Once the jailbreak is complete, you will need to get the 'Verizon Untether for 4.2.7' in Cydia. You might need to Google this to find the repo that hosts it. We cannot post certain repos on MMI...sorry!

Just update in iTunes and use RedSn0w pointing it at the 4.26 ipsw.

It should be in Cydia. Just Search: iBooks

thazsar, It doesn't work for the verizon iphone. The honeypot deb only works for the AT&T version..

i am trying to jailbreak iphone4 verizon w/ 4.2.7 .. hopefully this is a stupid ?......i have downloaded the ipsw file and well there is no ipsw file in it....what am i missing??? i have done this same phone on 4.2.6 with the same steps successfully...what am i missing?
