Does it still let you jailbreak?

Yes it does, the only issue is when installing tweaks on cydia most of them fail to install. So I was thinking maybe with the jailbreak being listed wrong it had something to do with errors installing tweaks.

iPhone 4 is also known as iPhone3,1 or iPhone3,3 depending on GSM or CDMA version. Especially in terms of ipsw naming. They may just be labeling devices in that way.

I was thinking that, since the 3G and 2g don't support iOS 5. So I guess his issue is cydia now

Yeah, funky names. Especially the first few iPhones, it was like iPhone1,1 for the first gen, iphone1,2 for the 3G.

I am having the same issue, it reads my iPhone4 as iPhone3,3. I have thusfar been unable to Jailbreak, however I have not reached the balls to reset my fone. I've tried 3 times to JB the fone and always ends with the error message "Absynthe has stopped working". Can anyone tell me if there are still issues with Cydia and the iPhone4? Not much need to continue if this is the case.
    Thanks all in advance!

iPhone 3,3 is the iPhone 4. Try another tool like redsnow.

    I'm sure it will work
