1st gen ipod touch running on 3.1.3 jailbreak help please

Everything iv seen has point me towards redsn0w 0.7 i restored ipod downloaded firmware package opened redsn0w browsed for ipsw selected my restore firmware 3.1.3 is this correct? Bc once selected redsn0w says "unable to recognize specified ipsw" can anyone please help me out? Wat am i doing wrong?

Simple way to jailbreak your iPod is open Safari on the iPod then type: JailbreakMe 3.0 , move the slider to right to jailbreak. It will start to download and jailbreak right away. Make sure you have WiFi connection.

Thank u that did work but says this version of cydia not support? How do u update?

Nvm i got it updated thanks alot for ur help iv spent last 48 hrs ******* with this damn thing
