    Ask "Daddy PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FREAKING PASSWORD!?! I NEED IT!!!!!" na jk. What your gonna do is note all the apps you have (right them down) and then make a full backup in iTunes before updating. When you update (yes you'll lose your stuff) look up those apps and the info you had on them recently will be in that backup. Then your good or use

    Hi.
    it's okay.

    The bad news for you is....
    nope, you can't do it.

    If there were a way to do this, it would involve using warez-tools and violate Apple's license in ways that Apple considers piracy. It strikes me as somewhat illogical that keeping your stuff through a firmware upgrade (what you're trying to do here) should be illegal, but I'm afraid we really cannot help you with that.

    It's a sad day, but not the first nor the last.
    My Mac is sad for you too.

    Sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't.

    Depending on what entitlements Apple thinks you have at any given moment.
    The problem is, its not transparent and it's extremely hard to tell in advance what's going to work, and what's going to fail. Entitlements are digitally signed but they're also hidden behind private APIs. Apple "needs to know" but for some reason, the customer doesn't. :{

    If the OP wants to "just try it and see" - it's worth a shot.
    Its not not reliable, and the risk of losing everything (or most of them) is pretty high.
