iOS 5 should come out in October for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod touch 3G, iPad 1, iPad 2, and iPod touch 4G. IOS 5 doesn't support the iPod touch 2G

Wait until WhiteD00r releases a custom firmware of iOS 5 and it will be exactly the same as iOS 5. It will run on older idevices.

You're right. For the most part. Whited00r 5 is still 3.1.3 based with iOS 5-like features. It won't be exactly the same, but for the most part it will. So you are not wrong, like the other guy said. I actually want to thank you for mentioning whited00r. I didnt know it existed until you posted about it.
