help with itunes on vista

when i open itunes it stops responding and the only way i can close it is by ending the process

when i end the process it makes windows freeze so i have to restart the computer

does any1 kno wat could cause this and how i could fix it

any1 have an idea

First step would be a complete uninstall, and a clean install from Apple - iTunes - Everything you need to be entertained.
Let us know if that fixes it.
