i just installed the 1.2 on my ipod. there are two versions, one for the ipod and one for the ipod.

obviously if you were planning on using the 1.2 on your ipod, you would use the ipod version.

well most people know what the features are going to be already from all the early posting from modmyi. the only thing i noticed that caught my eye was that the google maps locate me is slightly different from the 113 and 114, seems to zoom into the position of your network and the bubble go from large to small and flares. i don't know if it was a glitch on mine or what, it stopped a few seconds later when it located me up to the screen i was on.

i also noticed that it seems that the ipod run hotter, temperature, with the new firmware so i'm guessing there are still lots of bugs. also, seem to be very quick for the first few minutes. soon after, the apps i was running, mail, safari, and youtube crashed constantly.

just wanted to take a quick peek. i just restored back to 114 firmware.

honestly, i would wait for a newer version to come out.

Isn't this an older dev firmware that has been replaced? Usually the self expiring programs are intentional to minimize damage from possible leaks. This way by the time it has leaked and spread it is soon to expire (like 5A225C). I believe it has been replace by 5A240D

as of right now (I have tried 3 8GB,16 and 32) Pwnage does work for the iPod Touch. However, some users have encountered problems with the iPod being stuck constantly rebooting. I think when the windows version is out this will be fixed and iPod Touch support will be added since cmw has an iPod Touch to test with.

I say you don't really want to have the 2.0b versions. They are buggy and expire when ever a new version comes out.

Actually, you can. You can use pwnage to pwn firmware 1.1.4, then use pwnage's "build ipsw" option on the new beta firmware, checking the "activate" box. It worked fine for me. I'm on AT&T, and I was able to make calls just fine on the new beta firmware.

dude, i am using a mac and have 2.0, but im not sure wat to do with it because when i restore it to 1.2(2.0 beta) the pink screen of death shows up. by the way, the version im restoring to is ipod 5A225c. not sure if this is the new/right one, but please help me out man.
