For those having problems getting a wallpaper to show up try this, it works on my iPhone.
If you don't have it get Summerboard
Go into SMB Prefs and select the Customize theme
Set both wallpaper settings to on & summerboard to on.
Worked for me. Maybe it'll work for you?
