    Default Screwed Up Firmware?
I was trying to jailbreak my iPod 2gen mc model, but putting it in DFU mode was a pain (you have to push the home button lightly, IDK so I gave up). Anyways, I used RedSn0w to make a DFU firmware for 4.2.1 (My iPod is 4.2.1 also). After I uploaded the firmware on my iPod it completely stopped working. It didn't go to DFU mode because RedSn0w doesn't recognize it as well as iTunes. I tried putting it in recovery mode, getting it out of recovery mode, putting it in DFU mode, getting it out of DFU mode. But when I plug it into my computer it makes the USB in sound and when I take it out it makes the USB out sound. I presume that it is the firmware, how can I change the firmware, or do I have to get another iPod?

No, but I guess it doesn't matter, I just bought a iPod 4th Gen today and jailbreaked it.

Lol ok. That's one way to solve it.
