1st Gen ipod touch, is it possible to upgrade past 3.1.3?
Sorry for the noob question, but I just got my hands on a 1st Gen, touch, and I've been out of the loop for awhile - but I did search, and I get sorry,no matches everytime,so my question is,as the title states - is it possible to upgradse this thing? itunes says it's on the latest - 3.1.3. Any possibility to get ios 5 on it, or no? Thanks in advance guys.

Although, ipod touch 1g does not support any ios higher than 3.1.3, there is another option, which is whited00r.
whited00r is basically ios 5 features for devices that don't support ios 5. You can google it or visit this page:
iPod Touch Jailbreaking Info: Whited00r- iOS 5 Features for iPhone 2G/3G and iPod touch 1G/2G
It has the information and installation process
