Updating a jailbroken 3.1.2 iPod 2G to iOS 4 - synced with other computer

'Sup.

Pretty much Ii'm wanting/needing to update to 4.something.something - this would be a simple task apart from the fact my iPod Touch 2G is synced with a computer that I no longer (I do have it's just in the loft and my dad won't bring it down).

Any ideas? I also need to backup my ********** apps.

Anything purchased can be synced to whatever computer you are now using by transferring them to itunes. Contacts and your camera roll are easy enough to sync to the computer too and just sync them back after (itunes backup also backs these things up).

Ok, how would I go about backing up my Cydia packages?

cydia packages/tweaks can be backed up with pkgbackup.

Ah, I tried that. Crashes on startup, must be for a new version. Any other backup thingies?
