im trying to jailbreak my old 1g wih 1.1.5 help please

i tried everything. itunes wont let me update higher then 1.1.5 . i thought the 1g was capable to 2.xxx i tried downloading 2.1 firmware and installing with itunes and i got a error. i cant seem to find a old jailbreak program that would hack 1.1.5 somebody please help
