Weird it kicks mine into recovery. What version of tiny umbrella are you using? Also what OS are you on Windows XP/Vista/7 or Mac?

You have the latest version of iTunes and tiny umbrella?

Have you tried the restore to 3.1 or 3.1.2 just from being booted up normally?
