12-23-2011, 07:46 AM #2Itunes -> Ipod2g won't complete 4.2.1 restore
I have an ipod2g (model MB) and it worked for years with 3.1.
To use an app i need i had to upgrade it.
I upgrade officially with the 4.2.1 (suggested by Itunes).
The upgrade won't complete.
The ipod show 98% of the bar full and don't move no more (i waited one hour)
Itunes show a 98% and i can't normally quit as it argue that he is processing to a restore. (force quit to get out)
I have done 3 times with different 4.2.1 same result.
Any help ?

Did you try a shift restore or an update? What part of the process does it get to? Do you know if it gets stuck downloading the file or the actually update? Also, does it give any errors? I know newer devices cant go to 4.2.1, need to update to 5.0.1, but i dont know if older devices are allowed to go to that? Not sure if anyone else has any info regarding that? I dont believe 2G's can get iOS 5.
