Battery life damage after jailbreaking with Redsnow

Last week I jailbroke my 3rd gen iPod Touch on 4.3.1 firmware using redsnow and now i'm noticing a great change in my battery life.
Is there anyone else experiencing the same thing?
and is there a way to restore my iPod without losing data off my Applications?

Depending on what tweaks you've installed, it can lower your battery life. I also heard the 4.3 has less battery life than 4.2.1. I never liked redsnow anyway. It just slows down my iPod by a lot.

Try installing SBSettings and viewing your preprocessors. Disable the ones you do not need to save battery.
