iPod stuck on greenpois0n boot logo.

Today I turned my iPod on and it just stays stuck on the greenpoisOn logo. After about 10 minutes, the screen turns white, turns off, and turns back on on its own. Then it stays on the logo again, and repeats. How can I fix this without restoring through DFU mode?

Hmmmmmm. Well I just went on the Facebook app and then turned it off. I haven't downloaded any new apps from Cydia recently. I did like a complete Cydia update about a week ago though. O ther than that, that's about it.

Odd...can you see the file system with something like ifunbox when it is stuck on the apple logo?

Nope. Nothing. I can't even turn off the iPod. I'm wondering if letting the iPod battery die would do any good?

Sounds like only a restore will help then sorry.

Oh well. Since I'm going to be restoring, iTunes will probably update me to iOS 4.3. Is there a jailbreak out for 4.3 yet?

Well something odd happened. I left my iPod in the morning frozen on the boot logo and I was just going to let it die throughout the day. I came back about 6 hours later and my iPod was fine. I don't know when it finally started up. SO maybe it just happened to take a long time to boot this time? Hmmmmmmm.

Maybe, sometimes it can take a while.

The same thing happened and I downloaded RECboot.zip and inside the zip is a filed named EXIT open that and connect your iPod
It reboots it and kicks it out of any abnormal mode

Hi, so i recently bought an ipod touch 4g from a friend. I did the reset and erase all settings and now my ipod just turn on, the apple logo appears and then the greenpoison logo appears and it just get frozen.
Can you please help?

You are going to have to restore it.

Put it into DFU or recovery mode then restore it in itunes. You can google for how to get into those 2 modes.
