HELP! Will not restore, screen hung up, will not turn on...
Hi this is my first post here. Yes I've done a hundred searches but still cannot find a solution. Any help would be appriciated.
Here's my story. I got this iPod touch 1G 8GB from my friend. He had the screen and ear phone jack replaced about a year ago. Then recently it started acting up.
When I first got it, it would only turn on if it was plugged in to the wall or computer. The apple logo would come on and the connect to iTunes screen would come on, then it would just hang up on this screen. When I connect to iTunes it automatically goes into recovery mode. At first I would start recovery mode, the apple logo comes back and then goes black. Recovery mode would start and error 1603 would come on. I updated my computer, running Windows Vista, updated iTunes, unistalled and reinstalled iTunes, used a different user account, I only have one computer so I can't use another one, and tried to get it into DFU mode. When I try to get it into DFU mode it keeps turning on and hangs up on the connect to iTunes screen. Then recently I read to unplug the iPod with the USB still plugged to the computer. Hold the home button and plug it in. Then the low battery screen came on. So I let it charge for about 2 hours but it still show the low charge screen. Now when I connect to iTunes and enter recovery mode it says it cannot restore and divice is not found.
Any clues or tips??? Thanks everyone. Sorry for the long story.
