How to Jailbreak 4.2.1 3rd Gen MC model?

Hey,

I have recently updated from the 3.1.3 jailbreak (spirit)to 4.2.1 unjailbroken.
I was wondering does greenpois0n cover my model?
It is Ipod Touch 3rd Generation MC Model Running 4.2.1 firmware.
Also whilst jailbreaking does it matter if itunes is open or not?
Lastly 10.2.0.34 is the version of my iTunes is that compatible?

No, redoing it shouldn't harm it. I would normally say just use redsnow to install cydia but redsnow wont even let you proceed with that model.

Give limera1n a shot. It doesnt technically work on 4.2.1 but since greenpoison already did the jailbreak for you it may be able to put loader on there.

Have you tried that out yet? It looks like it could work. I am pretty sure loader is on there, it just isnt showing up.

Let me know if it works. I had a similar issue the other day with limera1n where it wouldnt show up after, even though I could see it in the filesystem.
