My memory is always low
Even after respringing, rebooting, using processes in SBSetting and deleting everything from multitasking my memory only goes up to 98MB to 114MB. Is there a way I can get the full memory of my iPod touch back? It's a 4th generation 32GB running on 4.2.1 if that helps at all.

Some things can be memory hogs. Winterboard may be part of it if you use that. Some other things as well but I can't think of any off the top of my head. If you use Dreamboard it does a significant amount as well.
That is quite low though...I don't know what the average ipt 4g is but it doesn't seem right as my ip4 runs normally with 300+mb.
If deleting apps or whatever that you may think can be causing it, you might need a restore if possible.

I stopped using Winterboard for this reason, but I'm still always on low memory. I wouldn't like to restore it, I guess if I had to I would, but I'd do a bit more research on this before I go and do that.
Oh and when you say "ip4" you mean iPhone, right? Because if you mean iPod touch then my memory is lower than I thought o.oLast edited by SuperTrever; 03-27-2011 at 10:20 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Yeah my iPhone 4 = ip4
But yeah I mean if it were me, I'd go through Cydia and delete anything I installed one by one to see if the problem resolves if restoring isn't a desirable first choice.
Do you know what the normal/average free memory is for an iPod touch 4g?

I'm pretty sure it's around 140-150MB.

Really...I thought it would've been more. If that's the case I'd imagine where it is at right now isn't too bad.
Bc I'm usually at 340mb, when I'm running dreamboard it goes down to 280. With winterboard only it's about 300-315. I also have a few Cydia tweaks that bring me down a bit so it should be around 350 for my 16GB device, but I'm averaging 300. So I wouldnt say it's too abnormal going from 140 to 100 or so depending on what you've got installed.

Well, I guess I'll just experiment with deleting stuff from Cydia to see what's using that memory. Thanks for the help. (:

The highest memory i've gotten is 150mb from my itouch 4g after i've killed processes on it in sbsettings. Seems fine to me :/

I think that's how much memory you're supposed to have.
