Default iPod Touch 3G 4.2.1 and iTunes Problem

    Hello,

I have tried searching but to no avail so far. I jailbroke my iPod iPod Touch 3G on firmware 4.2.1 and now when I try to sync on iTunes 10.1.2.17 it gives me an error saying something along the lines of: "iTunes does not recognize... You may need to reformat"

The iPod Touch works perfectly, but I would like to sync my songs and Apps. I have installed AppSync 4.0+ from the hackulo source. Is there anything else I need?

Thank you in advance for the advice.

Try on a different computer. If it works you mite have a bad usb connection. If its still the same problem the jailbreak must've corrupted a system file and you will most likely need to restore/rejailbreak again.

You could also try a different cable.

Thank you for the response, but I have already tried all those ideas. I wanted to keep from reformatting the iPod as much as possible.

If I do decide to reformat the iPod and I back it up first, will the backup restore all of my music as well as playlists that I had originally in my iPod?
