trying to jailbreak nothings working

have ipod touch 4g had software 4.0.1 greenpois0n didnt work jailbroke it with limera1n but had to restore

now i have 4.2.1 ive tried greenpois0n 6.1 6.0 and 5b4 all stop on jailbreaking screen sometimes have to restore ipod again
tried redsn0w 0.9.6 rc8 and b4 says it doesnt recognize the ipsw i know its right is in same folder withe ipsw file and limera1n goes through motions but doesnt do anything

please help been at it for days

You can use greenpoison, pwnage tool or snowbreeze to jailbreak that on 4.2.1.
