Downgrade to 4.0.0?

I have the IPSW file for my iPod touch 2G to downgrade from 4.1 to 4.0. But iTunes won't let me because the restore has to be verified by Apple. What do I do?

You cant downgrade without SHSH. There isnt much point anyway, 4.1 will run better than 4.0 on that.

To downgrade your Firmware, you need some SHSH Blobs to be saved. If Cydia saved your SHSH Blobs, then you are in luck. For Windows, Navigate to C:/WINDOWS/drivers/etc/hosts. Edit This File. Someone else mentioned a link to another thread to another link that will help you to downgrade using a Cydia Server instead of the Apple Server.

rosser, just saying, it is 64 bit Windows, Not 62.

It wont work because ur past 4.0.2 , i sugest just upgradeing to4.2.1 and use greenpoison.com to jailbreak
