I expected jailbreaking an iPod touch was an easy-as-pie process. However, the two methods I have tried so far didn't do their job properly, if at all.
* So far, I have tried Greenpois0n on my Mac, but it always says "Greenpois0n Initialized" after not finding certain things, and the process never ends.
* I attempted to use Redsn0w in my Windows computer. To my disappointment, not only is it a tethered jailbreak but also it gives my Cydia a white icon and it won't lunch at all.
What other alternatives are there? Preferably, I would like a un-tethered jailbreak, but if there's really no way to do that in a way that actually works, a tethered jailbreak will be just fine.
The reason greenpoison is saying that is because it needs to download several files to jailbreak. Make sure your internet is working properly and a proxy or something isnt interfering.
Thanks for that, I will keep that in mind next time I need to jailbreak.
I managed to do it with Sn0wbreeze. I had to use iREB too but now my iPod Touch is jailbroken, without unneeded icons in the springboard and it's also untethered .
