Ipod Touch 4.2.1 MC model jailbreak?

I was wondering what would be the best untethered jailbreak for this ipod? Ive read quite a few posts about this but im still not fully sure; ive read that certain jailbreaks dont work or cydia doesnt work on them. I am asking for the best on and possibly some step by step simple instructions on here or on the jailbreak. Any other information i need to know will help alot, thanks!

What model do you have?

Mine is an iPod touch 3G 64gb and I'm having issues after using gp rc5&6 with the Cydia loader showing a white icon and crashing.

You should re-jailbreak. I haven't gotten that problem, but I've heard about it and you just need to simply re-jailbreak your iPod Touch with Greenpois0n.

Man I've tried so many times... Restoring, rejailbreaking, compatibility mode, running as adminis. Redownloading rc5&6. Redownloading new firmware. And different computers.... It was working perfect with limera1n on 4.0.2 before the restore a few days ago... Wat the efff!

My primary computer is running windows vista... Which has failed everytime. I tried on my roomates comp running XP. It finished the process but the loader was white and crashed repeatedly. I did however notice on the XP comp... When GP was in action... It said it couldn't find four files... I can't remember the names off the top of my head, but I've read about other people getting that too... This retarted

Restore to a custom 4.2.1 firmware made by pwnagetool. Then run greenpois0n after and see if that works.

Edit: with pwnagetool you're already getting Cydia, gp is just to untether it so no need to run the Loader to install Cydia again.

Those 4 missing files were most likely your firmware files, because the XP wasn't your main computer which you updated your iDevice on.

So the solution?
I dont own a mac so I can't use pawnage tool unless someone gives me a link to the custom firmware.

I recently crashed my iPhone restored it on the XP computer with custom 4.2.1 firmware due to the iPad baseband jailbroke it with resn0w. Then the next day synced it with iTunes on my vista machine.... And had no problems at all.

What should I do to successfully run GP on my vista machine?

Oh yeeah I forgot to mention I restored in on my roommates XP machine via itunes before running GP also to clarify...thats why it makes no sends to me. I has to be something really simple.

Google for the custom firmware. If anything else fails why not try it.

i have the same problem like ian the 4 files are the ff:
unable to find gBdevList
unable to find fs_mount
unable to find fs_unmount
unable to find fs_file_list

i.Annie you should probably take it from here, this is beyond my knowledge. I can only make logical assumptions at this point.

Yeah I have no idea. Usually that sounds like an issue with the computer

Maybe try reinstalling Greenpois0n and if that fails, use another computer.
