what about itunes ,,,

ok, i have an ipod touch 2g running 4.2.1. Jailbroke it using greenpoison a few days ago. everything works great, but am reading confusing posts regarding the use of itunes.

before the jb, i used itunes to sync and backup up music, videos, apps like everyone else, and made a backup just before jb.

1. can i continue using itunes to sync/add music, backup apps, and update software or will that cause problems?

2. what will sync/backup? what won't?

3. what can't I do with itunes now?

Everything you list should work fine. Everything that is not from Cydia should back-up as usual. The things you don't want to do are update or restore the operating system (iOS), since these will un-jailbreak the device.

EDIT: One thing to note is, if you use Cydia apps to tweak the Home Screen layout, the layout pages in the iTunes app tab for your device will no longer reflect your true arrangement. You will only be able to rearrange icons by dragging them around on the device itself.
