Only greenpoison will work on that model iPod touch on 4.2.1.

Make sure to download te latest version. Most jb software doesn't automatically update.

tried greenpoison but the jailbreak was horrible, the icons were all smashed together and winterboard wouldn't apply any theme, maybe ill try again with rc6?
