Battery problem after jailbreak

I have a iPod touch 4g 4.2.1 GP untethered and ever since the jB it has not kept a battery for more than 3-4 hours is this normal

depends how mad you're using it.

have you got it doing all singing all dancing home and/or lockscreen.
have you got 20 odd background tweaks like popups and unders, keyboard addons?

playing some high graphic games such as the infinity blade?
music blasting away?

^if not, try restoring and rejailbreaking. Always worked for me.

I have no jailbreak apps I removed them to see if the life of it changed but it didn't I will restore and not jailbreak I have found nothing worth staying JBen for
