Help w/ ipod touch 3g

Greetings,

I'm new to the forum and come here looking for help. I have an Ipod touch 3g. Jailbroken with redsn0w 0.9.6b4. After an couple of updates and resets, it stopped responding and is now only displaying the apple icon. Power button and home button have no effect, can’t hard reset or get to DFU mode. Have allowed the unit to discharge power, hooked back up to PC, to connect the Itunes while holding down Home button, to no avail. Any suggestions how to get my ipod to awaken greatly appreciated…

Find a program to kick it out of factory mode, which is probably the stage it is in right now.

Thanks for the reply. I must admit I'm not sure what program that might be or how to get it, but most importantly I don't understand how I can possibly get a program to work with the ipod since I cannot utilize either button in any manner; that is I cannot turn it off, cannot connect to Itunes, it isn't recognized by my PC. Any further help would be tremendously appreciated.

If you have multiple computers in your home, try using another one. Here'a a tutorial on it. It might take a while, but worked for 15+ people with the same situation you have. Ipod not detected on computer [Solved] It requires the 2 buttons, but it might give you a better idea.
