4.2.1 Untethered one-click Jailbreak?

I have an iPod Touch 3g with firmware 4.2.1, and I have installed Redsn0w. It doesn't yet work for iPod Touch 3g? I am kind of confused at what is going on with Jailbreaks and ones yet to be released.

Simple search solves that....but there is no jailbreak yet fornthat firmware

But isn't there at least a jailbreak for 4.2.1? I remember I saw something about a redsn0w jailbreak 0.9.7b4 or something .

There is a tethered jailbreak for 4.2.1 for iPod touch 3G with redsnow 0.9.6rc8.

But when I try it, it asks if I have an MC iPod 3g, which they all are MC, and it doesn't work for it yet.

What firmware are you pointing to redsnow (filename)?

I think it is something like iPod2_4.2.1_restore but I'm not at my computer right now.

I noticed that, but I have an iPod 3G and that's the file I had since I upgraded. That's one other thing I'm confused about. If there is an explanation to this, I will be very grateful.

I have the new 4G 8G iPod touch 4.2.1 I don't know what SHSH's are or anything I got it for Christmas will someone tell me how to jailbreak it from my iPod?

I'm not sure what SHSH's are, but you cannot jailbreak directly from your iPod yet on 4.2.1. Redsn0w rc8 can jailbreak your iPod 4g though. Search for the download on Google. Make sure it's untethered, because I'm sure you don't want tethered.

I recommend not using redsn0w untethered because you will not be able to play music or use bluetooth and other things as well.

If you are talking about the redsnow untethered beta then those issues have been fixed for some time now.

I just want a jailbreak that Is untethered and works for my iPod Touch 3G. Any kind that works would be great.

Ah dang... I'll just wait until Greenpois0n releases their Windows version. I heard it should be coming out today or tomorrow. Thanks for the help though.
