    Default Mobile Terminal

I installed (I didnt know at the time) a beta of mobile terminal for ios4.1
Now it says "I need to upgrade" to the new mobile terminal. Problem is I cant delete the beta. When I uninstall it from cydia it tries to install the new MT at the same time, and is unable to overwrite it. I tried deleting it with cydelete and got an error. I tried deleting it from iFile, also with an error. What do I do?

I had mobileterminal 426 from podzombie repo. I was able to delete it and install mobileterminal 472 from idignify repo. What version do you have and where did you get it from?

Idk what version I have, but I got it from *******

Mod edit: don't post names of repos containing pirated material.

That is a pirate site, so the quality of anything on there is questionable. If you go into Cydia > Manage > Packages and look at the entry for MobileTerminal it should have a version number.
Here are the repos for the versions I have used:
    MobileTerminal 426:
    Index of /repository
MobileTerminal 472 (What I currently have):
    iDignify's Repository - MyRepoSpace.com
Saurik (author of Cydia) also produced an alpha version for 4.x which is here:
    http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7/debs...honeos-arm.deb
Here is an article about the various versions:
Clearing up Some Confusion on an iOS4 Compatible MobileTerminal! | iJailbreak - Apple iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Apple TV Jailbreak, Unlock, Cydia News

There is a thread about this problem on the site you got it from, but I can't post a link because that site is banned here. But here is some information from it. Does your error look like this?:

If so, here is how someone there dealt with it (I can't vouch for this, I am just quoting; it mentions something called PushDoctor, I don't know if you have that or not):
    1) Gone in to the file system using SSH (I used WinSCP)

    2) Gone to /var/cache/apt/archives and deleted both mobileterminal_364.1-10_iphoneos-arm.deb and mobileterminal_426xxxxxxxxxx.deb files I found here (didn't note down the full 426 filename)

    3) Gone to /var/lib/apt/lists and deleted the two cmdshft.ipwn.me entries here

    4) Gone to /var/lib/dpkg and edited 'available' and 'available-old' to remove the entries relating to Push Doctor (note under Dependents; mobileterminal 364 is listed)

    5) Edited 'status' and 'status-old' in the same folder and removed the Push Doctor (I think - might have been mobileterminal) package at the top which had 'install failed'.

    6) On the iPhone went into Cydia, searched for MobileTerminal and removed MobileTerminal iOS4 (Beta). This now actually works and uninstalls MobileTerminal.

    7) Go back into Cydia and remove MobileTerminal (this time the original 364 version)

I was now able to use Cydia as normal.

You can delete it with cydelete directly from your springboard.
