4.2.1 downgrade 4.1

I got an iPod touch 2g mc model and I have 4.2.1 and I want to downgrade it to 4.1.. Need help

Then plug your phone in to check for SHSHs. If you have 4.1 saved you can downgrade. If you don't have it saved you can't downgrade.

Well I wouldn't say it's too late if he has SHSHs saved from before but then again most people who ask about downgrading don't know about saving them. Could go either way.

There is a thread on Macrumors about this but I can't post the link due to a bug in the Modmyi forum software (due to square brackets in the thread title). However, someone there claimed to be able to do this, but it turned out he was only able to do it because he had a 2nd gen, AND he was downgrading to BELOW 4.0. Otherwise it doesn't work unless you have blobs.

Tiny umbrella worked for me. I was on 4.2.1 and I'm now 4.0 so I just didn't know SHSH's were naturally saved. I hadn't saved SHSH but they were there. .
