I have an itouch 4 and an iPhone 3G both jailbroken, but recently my friend gave me his iPod 3 on 4.1 to jailbreak but no matter what I threw at it the jail break will not go through. Any ideas?

Are you sure it is a iTouch 3G? What is the model number and what gb memory does it have?

It's definetly a 3rd gen (MC086LL) 8GB. He tells me it was Jailbroken once before but mysteriously the jailbreak removed itself.????

If it is a 8gb then it is a 2G. On 4.1 then only thing that will work on it is greenpoison.
Is there any specific greenpoison I should use?
