    Default iTouch 4g downgrade

Not sure as to were to put this, if it needs to be moved, please do so.

I just bought a Ipod Touch 4g few days ago. At the time of opening it, the FW version was 4.1 i think. I wasnt aware that the jailbreaking has been tougher. I figured i could use the same program and whatever, so i decided to upgrade the iOS to 4.2.1 now Im in a pickle. I can't get any of the jailbreaking software to work.

Is there a way to downgrade my ipod? I tried DFU and shift+click on restore but it fails to verify through apple?? WTF?

any way to fix this? or am i screwed? Im trying to do a untethered JB btw. I dont care for needing to plug in my ipod to reboot it.

    Thanks in advance

Since you just got it you wouldnt have SHSH so cant downgrade. You can use redsnow 0.9.6rc8 to jailbreak it on 4.2.1 but it will be tethered.
