    Default push notification troubles

Hey guys. I jailbroke my ipod touch about a month ago and suddenly yesterday my push notifications ceased to function. The most recent things i installed are

    adbl0cker
    Frash
    Glasklart HD theme
    lockinfo
    Gruppled theme for lockinfo
    iFile
    iNzo SB settings theme
    Glasklart HD SB settings theme

Ive also removed each one by one and realized that uninstalling them didnt fix my notifications.

I was wondering if any1 else is having this problem? Its kindof annoying as I use textPlus 4 to text my friends and i have to manually check the app to see if i have texts.

I have an ipod touch 4g, 4.1 jailbroken with greenp0ison

You may need to start fresh and install them one by one to see which one causes the issue.

Ya probably. Do you have 4.1 SHSH?

just saw your edit, ya if you do that then your jailbreak will be tethered so it's up to you.

Not too sure sorry. Try downloading ipusher from the app store and see what that says (it tests push notifications).

Weird. Maybe it is just the app that push isnt working for. Their servers could be down or something.

i installed smurf village and i do get push notifications for my vegetables being ready to harvest.

When i uninstall an app, should i turn off my ipod before reinstalling? For some reason upon reinstalling textPlus, im logged in already. Would turning my ipod off clear whatever cache is keeping my info?

It may do. Also try syncing with itunes before reinstalling too.

is there a cache file somewhere for apps that i can delete through ssh? If i can get my ipod to think im going into textPlus for the first time ever that might help.

Tried syncing/restarting my ipod but when i dl and install textPlus 4 it doesnt ask if i want to enable push Notifications, and im still logged in.

It may just be textplus servers that are down. I am not sure of a way to clear the cache manually but I am sure it can be done.

If push is working for other apps I would blame textplus or Apple servers. Give it a few days. I have seen similar issues with other push apps (IM+, FaceTime). BTW: read somewhere Apple has been upgrading their push servers too.

got an email back from textPlus, and if they're to be believed, their servers are fine.

I can also recieve texts, just not the push notification from them.

Guess ill wait a few days, and if it doesnt clear up, gonna try to find a cache of my login infos xD
