help Jailbreaking a new 4g touch ios 4.2.1

Just got this and it already had the latest firmware installed so when useing redsn0w 0.9.6b2 it cant find the firmware in c:users\(me)\appdata\roaming\apple\itunes\ipod_upd ates dir(duh i never downloaded it through itunes) but it also cant find the ipsw file in the firmware package i downloaded manualy from apple. Do i need to compile it or something? thanks

You should download it yourself (downloads sections at top of page). Download it with firefox if you can. You should also use the latest redsnow 0.9.6rc8

K well, I grabbed the redsn0w and I had the firmware downloaded. when i start red snow and browse the to where i downloaded the firmware i find the zipped file and the unzippedd files. redsnow does not see the ipsw file there? what am i doing wrong?

You need to rename the .zip file to .ipsw
