    Default JB iPod Touch

Hi, A while back I asked advice on how to JB an iPod touch 3G that was on 3.1.1.

At the time I was advised to update to 4.1 I think and use redsn0w.

I never got around to do it due to various reasons.

I want to do it now but was unsure if I can still update to 4.1 and have it done, due to things ever changing on the scene of JB.

So the question is can I still JB it?

Please could you provide some instructions,
Thanks in advance for the responses, its appreciated!

oki think if you dont have shsh saved , it will only let you update to the newest firmware , that depending on your device would be a tethered jailbreak. let me digg some info on that thio

Hi sorry no, don't have shsh saved. Tethered means I would have to connect to redsn0w every time it turns off etc? ahh wish I had done it before now.

If I just update it to the latest firmware without the JB, would it hamper the chance of JB in future? I know with iphone's it would change baseband etc...

Will download it and report back (won't be till later as I don't have ipod touch on me... ty!

You should download tiny umbrella, connect your device and press save SHSH. this will tell you what firmware you can restore too.
