3G 32GB 3.1.2 to 4.1 custom problems

I cant get this thing to upgrade for anything. Tiny Umbrella shows that i have 4.1 and 4.2.1 SSH blobs, i created my custom firmware with pwnage 4.1.2 (OSX), put ipod in dfu (hold home & power 4 10 secs, then release power while holding home for 10 secs), tried to flash with itunes 10.1.1 (4) and keep getting restore errors (2001, 2009 & a 16?? one i cant remember). Tried to flash on another clean install mac and a vista PC with the same results. I even tried to upgrade to 4.2.1 from 3.1.2 and i get the same results. Anyone ran into a similar situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nevermind, figured it out... for anyone with a similar problem, try going to settings, general, then "erase all content and settings" and then "Reset Network Settings". Not sure which one did the trick, but it updated fine.
