    Default iPod 2G 4.1 to 3.1.3 downgrade?

    I have a iPod touch 2G with 4.1 on it i want to downgrade to 3.1.3 can this be done without shsh being saved?

    I have tired but just get a restore error from itunes.

    Only if it is a MB model one

    As far as i know it is a MB model it says PB528LL PB stands for personalized model which google says is a MB. So why wont it let me downgrade?

    You'll probably still need SHSHs for it. I believe the MB model only helps it use custom firmwares without any stipulations.

    You should be able to downgrade it then without SHSH. Make sure it is in dfu when trying to restore to 3.1.3

    That's what I thought too...but I've seen many many MB models not be able to do this. I have yet to try it on my own...but I would like to see if it is possible.

    I dont have one to test it myself but pretty sure that is the case.
