How to jailbreak

I have an iPod touch 2gen 8gb MC model and I want to update it to 4.2.1 What is the safest and best possible jailbreak for it?

what firmware are you on currently? do you have any shsh saved? 4.2.1 for an iPod 2g mc is currently tethered, meaning you gotta re run the jailbreak program on your comp every time your device needs to be rebooted. there Is rumor an untethered jb will drop soon..you might consider waiting but there is no guarantee it'll come soon

There is currently no jailbreak for MC model iTouch for 4.2.1.

If you try to use redsnow on it it will give you a message saying support coming soon
