How to jailbreak??

Hi
I wanted to jailbreak my iPod Touch 2g 16 GB. I tried to jailbreak it from jailbreakme.com but it said my software is too new, I need to downgrade.
1. I don't know how to downgrade my iPod

2. I have heard about other jailbreaks like redsn0w and others. What is the difference?
Can you please help me jail break my iPod Touch 2g OS 4.1 but I want a jailbreak that I can delete anytime and I don't want my iPod to get 'bricked'

Any one of those should work.

Do you have a MB or MC model iTouch 2G?

Thanks guys I have jailbroken it from redsn0w mb model but my iPod is now very slow and crashes
MAIN PROBLEM: It stops playing music on my Bose sounddock when I jailbreak it. It works for like the first 5 minutes then after it just doesnt reconoze it?? Any help please guys!!!

Oh and I forgot to say when I unjailbroke it to check it's something wrong with the jailbreak it worked PERFECTLY
please I love the stuff on cydia but at the same time I cant abandon a £350 soundock
